Terminal D is DFW International Airport’s international terminal, where most international arrivals clear U.S. Customs and Border Protection. After passport control, collect your bags, clear customs and follow the exit signs to the public arrivals area. International arrivals often take longer to clear than domestic ones, so we time the meeting to when you walk out, not to the landing time. From the DFW terminals, downtown Dallas is about 20 miles away and downtown Fort Worth about 24.
From the gate to the car
- Passport control. Follow the signs for arriving international passengers to U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
- Baggage claim. Collect any checked bags.
- Customs. Clear the customs check with your bags.
- Connecting? If you have an onward flight, re-check your bags as directed after customs.
- Public arrivals area. Exit to meet your chauffeur, or head to the curb if you asked for a curbside pickup.
How we time your pickup
Add your flight number when you book. Clearing customs can take a few minutes or much longer depending on queues and bags, so we watch your real landing time and wait for your message or call. Reasonable waiting time is included; waiting well beyond that is billed at the vehicle’s hourly rate.
If you want help inside the airport
DFW sells a separate meet-and-greet service, Allways, which can escort international passengers through Customs and Border Protection and baggage recheck or claim. It is not part of your car booking; your chauffeur meets you once you are through.
